Sporting at Rhiedorrach Estate
A Managed Sporting Landscape
Our managed moorland occupies high and exposed ground, spanning circa 26,000 acres, including 14,000 acres on Rhiedorrach Estates and a sporting partnership with Invercauld Estate at Glenshee. The estate is carefully maintained by our three full-time keepers, who work to balance sporting activities with habitat conservation, ensuring that the diverse flora and fauna—whether living, breeding, or migrating—are protected.
When accessing the hills for recreation, we ask all visitors to respect the environment. During the spring season, ground-nesting birds are particularly sensitive to disturbance, so care should be taken to minimize disruption. From August to October, visitors are encouraged to stay on main paths for safety and to avoid interfering with estate activities. Additionally, no stalking takes place on Sundays.
By following these guidelines, visitors help to support the long-term conservation and sustainability of Rhiedorrach Estate while experiencing the best of Highland sporting traditions.

Tailored Sporting Experiences
Sporting activities are available on the estate seasonally and upon request. We may be able to create a custom sporting package that includes both sporting pursuits and accommodation, ensuring a complete and seamless Highland experience.
